The Ski Nautique 200 is being introduced as a ski boat that features improved driver visibility, extensive storage and is available in open or closed bow.
The Ski Nautique’s unique hull design rides higher on the water, creating a flatter wake, designed so slalom skiers can effectively maintain ski edge, control and direction at various rope lengths.
The Ski Nautique 200 has a new, lower instrument panel positioned to create a superior field of vision for different height ranges. The speed control has been repositioned at the driver’s right hand, allowing for easier one-handed control. The Ski Nautique 200 has a digital helm display for both the closed- and open-bow versions. Both also feature twin saddlebag compartments, which hold up to six sets of water skis and gear.
The retail price of the closed-bow version of this ski boat runs in the low $50,000 range, whereas the open bow is about $1,000 more, according to representatives at Candlewood East Marina in Brookfield, Conn.
The Ski Nautique made its debut in the U.S. market in August at the 2009 National Water Ski Championships.
