Celebrating 50 years of boatbuilding, Grady-White has introduced a customer-inspired boat full of features and amenities. The 2009 model year 29-foot Chesapeake 290 is a coastal cabin boat with Grady-White’s walkaround styling.
Within the 56-square-foot cockpit is a helm with flush-mounted, easy-to-read gauges positioned above a 316L stainless steering wheel. A newly styled hardtop encloses the helm area and has a radio box, storage nets for PFDs, spreader lights and four side-mounted rod holders. Hardtop drop, front and side curtains are also standard. AV outlets are located at the cabin entrance.
The 56-square-foot cockpit also has a starboard-side, 132-quart insulated fish box, and a portside 35-gallon raw water live well with a 1,100-gallon-per-hour circulating pump, plus a light and a full-column distribution inlet. At the transom is a cavernous 265-quart insulated box with overboard drain.
The cabin features teak and holly in the cabin sole, oval-shaped teak dinette table, portside galley with Corian countertops, a deep stainless sink, refrigerator, microwave oven and an electric stove with touchpad flush controls.
The starboard berth stretches 81 inches. Cabin air conditioning is optional. There is also a DC television option.
The MSRP with twin Yamaha 250-hp 4-strokes is $183,625. www.gradywhite.com
