Hoping to raise environmental awareness, marine artist Wyland lent his talents to help create kids' swim gear for Finis Inc.

The range of snorkels, masks and fins emulate the colors and aesthetics of marine wildlife, introducing children to an "under-the-sea" experience while educating them about the ecological pressures threatening oceans and wetlands.

The Dolphin Tail fin slips onto both feet at once and is secured with an adjustable Velcro strap. Available in aqua or pink, they allow children to imitate the swimming techniques of dolphins or mermaids. Older kids and adults can try it, too, with the Whale Tail monofin. MSRP for the Dolphin Tail is $29.99, while the Whale Tail is listed at $49.99 (kids) and $89.99 (adults). Finis Inc., Livermore, Calif. Phone: (925) 454-0111; www.finisinc.com.
