After pumping the bilge, there's usually still water left, which can cause foul odors, mildew and damage from the condensation. The Arid Bilge Systems' Series 4 promises to do away with this nuisance automatically, thus maintaining "bone-dry" bilges. Customized pickups are placed in the bilge's compartments to remove the residual water, which incidentally also eliminates the need for bilge diapers or wet vacs, according to the manufacturer. Available in three- or four-zone configurations, the system can pump up to 10.2 gallons of water per hour. The product has been around since 2007, but now has new features like an hour-meter panel, a noise-absorbing base and a 24V converter. Retail price starts at $3,300.
