Garmin recently introduced the GPSMAP 78 series, the company's next generation of marine-friendly GPS hand-helds.
With color mapping, a high-sensitivity GPS receiver, and a microSD card slot for loading additional maps, these new buoyant and waterproof hand-helds were designed for boaters and water-sports enthusiasts. Other product features include a 2.6-inch transflective color touch-screen interface, a three-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass (on s models), wireless data transfer between compatible units, worldwide shaded relief base map and BlueChart g2 cartography for the coastal U.S. (GPSMAP 78sc).
