Cruising guide takes you to Turkish Coast
“The Magic of Turkey: A Guide to the Turkish Coast,” ($19.95, Sheridan House, 2009) by Alfredo Giacon with a foreword by Jimmy Cornell, tells the story of navigating the Turkish coast aboard a 55-foot ketch, Jancris.
During their two-year journey, the author and his wife, Nicoletta, travel through ports of the Aegean and Mediterranean, along the Carian and Lycian coasts. The author chronicles his experiences traveling from Gibraltar eastward, exploring local areas and cuisine, and enjoying the beauty of the Turkish coast.
In addition to information on weather and local cuisine, the volume contains useful notes on marinas and other anchorage sites.
