Pursuit Boats, primarily known for its quality center console, walkaround and express fishing vessels, soon will offer a luxury cruiser in the mid-30-foot range powered with outboards, the company announced this morning.
“We’re excited to be the first luxury builder to deliver outboard technologies to the sport yacht market,” Pursuit marketing manager David Glenn said. The patent-pending Pursuit sport yacht will be given a name prior to its debut in early fall 2012. “It is certainly more of a cruising vessel, but you will be able to virtually go anywhere and do anything on this boat that you want to — dive, swim, relax and have cocktails — and do it in a luxury.”
You can log on to pursuitboats.com/sportyacht starting Friday to learn more about the boat, Glenn said.
“We see an opportunity to bring new technologies to the sport yacht market, giving customers distinct advantages in performance and fuel efficiencies not available in today’s marketplace,” Pursuit Boats president Tom Slikkers said in a statement.
The boat will feature “manufacturing technologies powered exclusively by dependable Yamaha outboards,” according to the statement. Pursuit builds outboard-powered boats exclusively that range from 18 to 39 feet.
