Send us your pet photos

Now it's your turn. Share your own boating pets by entering the Soundings Salty Paws Photo Contest.

When not in the dinghy looking for birds, year-old golden retriever Duke can be found shark fishing aboard Amy Lynn Clark's 1987 Post 46 sportfisherman, Salty Paws, which inspired the name for our contest.Whether it's a Lab who lounges on the foredeck or a tabby who curls up at the nav station, we want pictures of your boating pets. The winning images will be featured in the January 2011 issue, and all qualified entries will be shared on SoundingsOnline.com and our Flickr photostream (www.flickr.com/photos/soundingsonline).

The contest ends Oct. 1, so you have all summer to catch your cat or dog's best boating moment. The contest is open to all photographers, but we are only looking for photos that haven't been published. You're limited to three entries, so be sure to select your absolute best shots.
