The 33rd Rolex Middle Sea Race got under way Oct. 20 with a cannon blast fired from the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valetta, Malta. A record 83 yachts from 19 countries started the 606-mile race, which takes the fleet around Sicily and back to Malta. www.rolexmiddlesearace.com
