Details of 34th America’s Cup to be revealed

The date for the next America's Cup and the type of boats that will be sailed will be revealed in Spain this month, America's Cup defender BMW Oracle Racing said Tuesday.

The U.S. syndicate says a "new, dynamic and exciting class of boat will be revealed" Sept. 13 in Valencia, Spain - the site of the last America's Cup - along with the rules for the competition, according to an AFP report.

Oracle CEO Russell Coutts last week hinted that the syndicate was leaning toward multihulls for the 34th Cup regatta.
