Fall and winter are just around the corner. That means it’s time to ramp up for some of the greatest shows on Earth, at least when it comes to exciting new boats. Whether you’re looking for a new center console fishing boat or a long-distance passagemaker (or if you’re just window shopping), there’s sure to be a new model that aligns with your boating mojo.

Pursuit S 368 Sport

Pursuit Boats launched its S 368 Sport in June as an addition to its Sport lineup of five other models. The S 368 falls between the flagship S 408 and the S 328. It will make its show debut at the Newport International Boat Show. Seating is in three social zones: at the bow, at the helm and in the cockpit. Underneath the console is a minicabin with an enclosed head, convertible two-person berth and food-prep area with microwave. Features aimed at anglers include a dive door, a pair of fishboxes, a 28-gallon live well and stowage for rods and tackle. A triple rack of Yamaha F300 outboards is standard and produces a spirited top end of 43 knots. The S 368 Sport cruises in the low- to mid-20-knot range.

Greenline 39 Hybrid

Greenline’s hybrid boats use a diesel engine, an electric motor, a clutch system and a bank of lithium batteries for propulsion. The boat can motor under diesel power or solely use the electric motor, which is powered by the battery bank. The diesel charges the battery bank by spinning the electric motor underway. The 39 Hybrid will make its U.S. debut at the Newport International Boat Show. Sleek and modern on the outside, the boat has a European vibe. Inside is a two-stateroom layout and a main saloon with the galley aft. The open after end of the main saloon connects with the cockpit. You can cruise the 39 Hybrid silently at 6.5 knots under electric power, or at up to 18 knots with the base 220-hp Volvo Penta diesel.

Grady-White Fisherman 216

Grady-White Fisherman 216

Grady-White Fisherman 216

Knowing that fishing boats often pull double-duty as family fun machines, Grady-White designed the Fisherman 216 center console with comfort features. An open transom with slide-away jump seats allows access to the swim platform for folks who want to tow water skiers, wake boarders or kids on tubes. It also serves as a boarding platform for crew bringing aboard fishing tackle and other gear. Forward-facing lounges with flip-out backrests are at the bow, which can turn into a sunpad with a drop-in cushion. Of course, fishing features are not neglected.
