Livorsi has developed an LED navigation light that is contained in a rugged, low-profile stainless-steel housing and is designed for use on boats as large as 65 feet.
With the efficiency of LED technology, the lights consume only 1/10 of an amp at 14 volts, which means less draw on the battery. They have a visibility of 2 nautical miles and can be mounted on horizontal or vertical surfaces and flush on fiberglass. Available for 12- or 24-volt systems, the lights retail for $69 each; an optional adapter plate costs $26. Livorsi Marine, Grayslake, Ill., (877) 548-5900.
