Marine electronics maker Jensen Marine announced the next generation in black-box technology with the MSR2107, a waterproof, satellite-radio ready stereo system that includes a USB interface.
The company says it developed the MSR2107 from the ground up to meet the specific needs of the marine industry. Features include 200-watt power, space-saving design, low battery alert and iPod controls. One gigabyte of memory and the USB port on the tuner/amp enable the download of music files (about 250 MP3/WMA files) from a USB device, such as a flash drive or computer, and played through the stereo. The separate black-box amplifier/tuner unit is water-resistant and can be mounted in any location. The MSR2107 has a 1-1/4-inch slim-line profile for easy installation with limited space and retails for $215. ASA Electronics, Elkhart, Ind. Phone: (574) 266-1533. www.asaelectronics.com
