Easy installation and worry-free operation are the promises of Etesian Technologies' wireless Mariner wind speed and direction sensor.

The unit doesn't need wiring or batteries since it is powered by a self-contained generator. Transmissions start at 4 knots and reception extends to 300 feet. It is compatible with NMEA 0183 and shows apparent and true wind when operated with a networked GPS. The package includes sensor, receiver and a four-element Yagi antenna. MSRP is $1,079.
