A remarkable tale of survival

On Saturday evening, the crew of a good Samaritan vessel rescued three anglers missing in the Gulf of Mexico for a week. The three men were reportedly found sitting atop the hull of their capsized 23-foot power catamaran. Coast Guard aircraft, cutter and small boat crews had searched approximately 86,000 square miles. The fishermen survived a week on crackers, gum, and by drinking the freshwater washdown water.
