Accomplished bluewater skipper remembered

John Chittenden, the first skipper to win around-the-world sailraces in both directions, was found dead March 27 in woodland in Devon, England. He was 70 years old.

Chittenden's son, Stephen, said his father "genuinely had hundreds of close friends in the sailing world and beyond."
