The Shark’s Eye All-Release Tournament & Festival, a satellite tag, catch-and-release, big game sportfishing competition, combines science, conservation and informative entertainment focused on saving sharks July 11-13 in Montauk, N.Y.
“There is no other fishing tournament like Shark’s Eye,” Guy Harvey, whose ocean foundation supports the event, said in a statement. “This tournament combines the thrill of shark fishing, practical conservation measures and meaningful fisheries research and community involvement into a single event. It is truly the future of shark-fishing tournaments.”
Team entries are being accepted for a maximum of 50 boats to compete for thousands in cash and prizes during the two-day tournament. The entry fee is $950.
The tournament debuted in 2013.
