American cruisers assaulted in Panamanian marina

A pair of armed and dangerous assailants attacked an American couple aboard their sailboat anchored Bocas Marina, in the province of Bocas del Toro in the Republic of Panama.

The attack reportedly involved a 1 a.m. boarding from a Panamanian wooden cayuco before the assailants tied the couple up at gunpoint, then over two hours ransacked the boat and stole everything of value, including cameras, electronics, a computer, cash and jewelry.
