Angler's striped bass could set record

In the sportfishing world, the two most highly coveted records are largemouth bass in freshwater and striped bass in saltwater.

Greg Meyerson, a North Branford, Conn., resident recently brought an 81.88-pound striped bass to the scales at Jack’s Shoreline Bait and Tackle in Westbrook. The giant fish was reportedly caught on a live eel (probably around one of the reefs) between East Haven and Milford.
