The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced its ninth annual “Tribute to the United States Coast Guard in Our Nation’s Capital” will take place June 5 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.
The keynote speaker for the dinner will be Adm. Robert Papp, Commandant of the United States Coast Guard.
Noted political comedian and musician Mark Russell will add his unique blend of music and comedy to the evening.
The annual event will pay tribute to the men and women of the service and raise funds and awareness for the programs and projects of the Coast Guard Foundation.
“This tribute dinner will be an exceptional event,” said Robert J. Flynn, chairman of the board, Coast Guard Foundation. “We are honored to support the men and the women of the United States Coast Guard, and look forward to Mark Russell bringing humor and good cheer to the occasion.”
