A Boca Raton resident woke up to an odd sight outside his window Monday morning: a beached tug.
"I looked out around 5 or 5:30," Bob Scanlon, a resident of the condo overlooking the tug, told the local CBS affiliate. "This boat did not belong on the beach, but it was there."
The quick-thinking tug boat operator had guided his holed vessel away from nearby reefs to beach boat.
Once the tide went out, a bulldozer drove into the surf and raised the scoop, allowing the tug's crew to walk right off the tug, according to the story.
