People riding in a boat that capsized near the Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach, Fla., on Sunday afternoon weren’t about to let the disruption ruin their fun.
According to the Coast Guard, a nearby salvage team was able to right the boat near Peanut Island, and the people got back on.
“It kind of shocked me to hear they got back on their capsized boat and then went back to swimming,” Petty Officer Mark Earney told the Palm Beach Post. “We asked if they wanted us to escort them to shore and they denied help.”
Seas have become increasingly rough throughout the day with stronger winds that could reach gusts of up to 30 mph.
