Boat enthusiasts to gather for three-day show

The days when bustling shipyards lined Connecticut’s Mystic River may long be gone, but organizers of an annual boating event say a love of wooden-boat building has endured.

It is why Mystic Seaport and Maine-based WoodenBoat Publications expect more than 10,000 people to visit the seaport from Friday to Sunday, June 29 to July 1, when the two present the 21st annual WoodenBoat Show.

"This is our biggest weekend of the year," Mystic Seaport spokesman Dan McFadden told the Connecticut Post.
