Boat found, but captain still missing

Salvage crews raised the sunken 47-foot Sea Tow boat named Cape Hatteras and have placed it on a barge in the Intracoastal Waterway, with no clear signs what caused it to sink last Tuesday morning.

The boat's captain, David C. McAuliffe, 34, of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., has not been found and it was not immediately clear if he was on the overturned vessel, according to a Monday report by The Press of Atlantic City.

The hoisted boat was found upside down and as it was lifted from the water, its pilot house appeared crushed and its windows broken. The hull does not appear to be damaged.
