Boat speed limit bill signed into law
New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch has signed a bill that makes boat speed limits permanent on Lake Winnipesaukee, the state's largest lake.
A boating speed limit on the big lake has been in effect since the beginning of 2009, with a daytime speed limit of 45 mph and a nighttime speed limit at 25 mph. House Bill 847, establishing the temporary limits, passed in 2008, establishing speed limits for a two-year period as a test phase.
