Boat swept inland is a symbol of tsunami

The Hamayuri, a 109-ton vessel used to conduct sightseeing cruises in Kamaishi Bay, was swept to its current position after being caught in the Japanese tsunami.

Government officials are currently discussing the possibility of keeping the boat in place - on the roof of building - as an enduring symbol of the tsunami and its devastation in the region, according to local news reports.
