Three Florida teens up late playing video games found themselves unlikely heroes when a neighbor’s boat was being stolen just outside their window.

At around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, four young would-be thieves were maneuvering a stolen pick-up truck outside a Palm City home with the intention of stealing a 36-foot Dakota center console on a trailer, according to the local news source, www.tcpalm.com.

The teens reportedly paused their gaming to check out the noise outside, quickly realized what was happening and called 911.

Before the local sheriff’s department could respond, the truck became stuck in high grass and after freeing the vehicle, the suspects fled the scene without the boat, according to the report. Based on the teens’ description of the vehicle, deputies spotted the truck and arrested the suspects.

The neighbors who own the boat reportedly rewarded the teens with a $100.
