Baseball fans of the San Francisco Giants are known for taking advantage of their team’s location on San Francisco Bay, gathering in McCovey Cove in hopes of retrieving a home run splashing over the wall.

While the seats are good, they come with their own risk.

Three San Francisco Giants fans were rescued by the Coast Guard Thursday morning on San Francisco Bay after their boat ran out of gas and drifted into marshland near the Oakland Estuary.

Robert Pargaz said he and two friends took in the sights and watched the third game Wednesday night in the Giants series against the Colorado Rockies aboard an 18-foot pleasure craft.

“On the way back, we ran out of gas, had to hop out and start pushing the boat,” Anthony Mandall told CBS News.
