Two boat shows on opposite ends of the country - one sail and one power - are scheduled for May.
The seventh annual Annapolis Spring Sales Event will feature an open house May 8-9 featuring 75 sailboat models.
Admission is free to the event, and shuttles will be available to each of the four exhibition hubs. The show will include nine new sailboat dealers and 20 sailboat lines.
Attendees will also have a chance to win a door prize at each of the four hubs: a two-day charter on a 42-foot Jeanneau with a Friday night stay aboard, courtesy of Annapolis Bay Charters.
The next Trawler Fest event, produced by PassageMaker magazine, will take place May 20-22 at the Cap Sante Boat Haven in Anacortes, Wash.
The show celebrates the cruising-under-power lifestyle and will feature more than 70 exhibitors. More than 60 boats will be on display for boarding from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Educational seminars will also be available at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. daily and include such topics as All About Anchoring; The Latest in Navigation; and Exploring the Queen Charlotte Islands. Admission to these will be included with the $15 general admission to the show.
Attendees can also look for show updates on Twitter.
