The Coast Guard said a tugboat and a 26-foot Carolina Skiff collided in the James River near Hopewell, Va., tossing two men aboard the fishing boat into the river.
Neither of the men was injured.
The Coast Guard is investigating the collisions between the 26-foot boat and a barge.
"The pleasure boat was anchored in or near the channel," Julia Dixon with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries told a local newspaper.
