An online auction of more than 200 boats used in major films, mostly British, and stored in Kent, England, took place Wednesday.
The boats, which have featured in films during the last 60 years, are being sold by Thames boatbuilder Turks. Some were used in a Harry Potter film. Company director Richard Turk said computer-generated imagery have largely made the use of real boats obsolete to filmmakers.
All the boats for sale have a starting price of zero pounds and will be sold to the highest bidder.
