Boats wash ashore after storm

A dozen boats broke free of their moorings or anchors in Tiburon, Calif., during last weekend's storm and washed ashore at Strawberry Point Sunday morning, a Coast Guard officer said.

Two of the vessels were motorized; 10 were sailboats.

The owners were responsible for getting the boats off the shore, either by guiding them back into the water at high tide or getting them onto a boat trailer and driving them off the beach.
