New Jersey State Police say a body found on a southern New Jersey beach is a boat captain who went missing late last month.
David McAuliffe’s body was found around 6 a.m. Wednesday by Ocean City municipal workers who were doing cleanup work on the beach. An autopsy determined he died of accidental drowning, according to a report by NJ.com.
The 34-year-old Sea Tow captain disappeared when his 45-foot Tow boat sank off the Great Egg Harbor Inlet on April 23. The Coast Guard suspended its search for the 34-year-old two days later.
