BP: well should be sealed this weekend


BP said Friday that the ruptured Macondo well, responsible for the largest oil spill in U.S. history, should be completely sealed Saturday.

Oil stopped gushing into the Gulf of Mexico July 15, but BP and the federal government planned one last measure to ensure the well is sealed once and for all - pumping cement into the well, according to CNN.com report.

That should happen Saturday, the company said.
