Buildup to first America’s Cup with multihull broadcast

The very first America’s Cup World Series – the preliminary buildup to the first America’s Cup competition to raced exclusively with multihulls – has concluded after seven days of close racing off the coast of Cascais, Portugal.

America’s Cup Television recently delivered its first broadcast, bringing the action to fans in the United States. The cable channel Versus will broadcast an America’s Cup World Series highlight program for each of the 2011 AC World Series events. The first was held at 11 p.m. Tuesday. The AC World Series Plymouth Highlight Program is scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 18; and the AC World Series San Diego Highlight Program is scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 22
