Coast Guard adds new boating rules in New York

The New York Thuway Authority announced Friday that the U.S. Coast Guard created a Regulate Navigation Area near the Tappan Zee Bridge.

The RNA is set 300 yards north and 200 yards south of the bridge. Boaters must use the main channel, reduce wake and exercise extreme caution in the RNA. The Coast Guard may also temporarily stop all traffic in the RNA in the future.
