Coast Guard announces Video of the Year winners

With 31,639 total YouTube views and 1,064 votes, the winners of the inaugural Coast Guard Video of the Year Award are in - and it was a very close race.

Receiving 162 votes, Coast Guard Port Security Unit 307 wins first place for its video featuring the members and the Haitian Coast Guard providing medical attention and medicine during an orphanage relief project after the magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the Port-au-Prince.

Receiving 157 votes, Coast Guard Air Station Houston wins second place for their video of Petty Officer 2nd Class Brad Pigage, the rescue swimmer and aviation survival technician, rescuing a man who was stranded and clinging to a piling near Rollover Pass, Texas.
