Coast Guard crews put to the test in rodeo

Sitting in the back of an aluminum canoe, Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam Wilk was paddling for all he was worth off Thomas Point near Annapolis.

But with a blindfold covering his eyes, he had no idea where he was going.

"Left! Left! Go left!" his navigator yelled from the bow of the boat as she tried in vain to direct Wilk around a buoy and back to the dock.

It was all part of Coast Guard Sector Baltimore's participation in the third annual Boat Crew Rodeo, which fosters communication and teamwork.
