Coast Guard, Marine aircraft collide

A CG-130 aircraft based in Sacramento, Calif., crashed last night off the coast of San Diego. Seven Coast Guard members were aboard searching for an overdue 12-footer. They collided with a Marine Corps AH-1 Cobra helicopter at 7:15 p.m. local time.

Two people were aboard the Marine Corps helicopter, which was conducting a separate training exercise.

All nine people are missing, according to a Reuters report.
