Couple rescued from burning boat
Fire crews worried about an explosion as a burning 34-foot boat, its tanks just filled with gasoline, drifted to shore in Troy, N.Y., on the Hudson River.
The couple aboard got off safely with the help of a good Samaritan's boat and they watched from afar as the boat, and all their possessions on it, burned to the waterline.
"Ironically, we've got a brand-new fire boat that's going to be delivered here with a pump in three weeks," the Troy fire chief told a local TV news station. "We could have used it today."
