An Australian policewoman hailed for her bravery in diving into a river to rescue speedboat passengers trapped under a ferry insists she is no hero.
The 37-year-old jumped into the water to help three people escape when a powerboat became wedged under a power catamaran ferry.
Describing the scene, she said: "They were still under the ferry when we arrived at the scene.
"Three of them were trapped on the boat, they were underneath the ferry so at that point I have exited the boat and gone into the water to just make sure we knew all persons were accountable," senior constable Lisa Hoggard said.
