Court won't silence Michigan tour boat's whistles

A man who can't tolerate the repeated whistle blasts of a paddlewheel boat in the popular tourist town of Frankenmuth took his complaint all the way to the Michigan Court of Appeals.

The court's response? The soundings are necessary for the prudent operation of the riverboat and are in no way reckless, careless or negligent, as the plaintiff claimed.
