Desjoyeaux wins second Vendée Globe

Michel Desjoyeaux became the first person to win the grueling Vendée Globe nonstop solo circumnavigation race twice, leaving his rivals in his wake and establishing a new time record of 84 days, three hours and nine minutes. Only 10 of the 30 yachts that started Nov. 9 are still left racing. “It's the hardest race that exists, simply, so it's normal that there are not a lot of us left at the finish line,” Desjoyeaux said.
