Dining on Chesapeake Bay for a cause

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Oyster Recovery Partnership will launch the second annual “From the Bay, For the Bay” Dine Out on Oct. 3.

The grassroots movement involves restaurants from the region joining together to celebrate locally-caught Chesapeake Bay seafood while supporting oyster restoration in the Bay.

The event will be held inside the National Aquarium in Baltimore, during the Oyster Recovery Partnership’s annual “Mermaid’s Kiss Oyster Fest” and “It’s My Bay” Stewardship Awards Presentation.

Participating restaurants will sell fresh, locally-caught Maryland seafood to guest and will donate $1 for every dinner sold this week to the Oyster Recovery Partnership in Annapolis.
