Doctor convicted of killing wife with boat

A Kentucky physician convicted Tuesday night of second-degree manslaughter in the 2009 death of his wife, could be eligible for parole shortly after his sentencing in October.

The 48-year-old doctor was accused of murdering his 49-year-old wife after she was struck by a pontoon boat on a local lake. The accused, who did not take the stand during the trial, said it was an accident, but a witness said the wife screamed, "He's trying to kill me!"
