Bertram 360

Bertram Yacht returns to the open sportfisherman market with the new 360 Open. The deep-vee hull has a sharp entry and wide chines, according to the builder. Below, it has a stateroom forward with island berth, saloon, galley and head compartment.

 

It will be on display at the major East Coast boat shows, including those in Atlantic City, N.J.; Newport, R.I.; Norwalk, Conn.; Annapolis, Md.; and Fort Lauderdale. Its cruising counterpart, the 360 Express, will make its debut in France at the Cannes Boat Show in September and be on display at Fort Lauderdale.

Island Pilot 395

The Island Pilot 395 is a new diesel sterndrive cruiser that the builder categorizes as a fast trawler. It can be throttled back or equipped with smaller engines for those who wish to run at displacement speeds, according to Island Pilot.

 

The 395, with its straightforward working pilot boat profile, has a one-stateroom layout (two-stateroom available) and comes fully equipped, including Raymarine electronics and a 9-foot, 6-inch rigid-hull inflatable tender.

Tiara 3900 Convertible

The 3900 Convertible represents Tiara Yachts’ return to the sportfisherman market, and the builder plans to have the boat at the shows in Newport, Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale this fall.

 

The 80-square-foot cockpit is equipped for fishing, with in-sole storage boxes, room for a fighting chair, standard integrated bait prep center with optional freezer, tackle drawers and trays, and optional transom bait well. Below are a forward stateroom, starboard stateroom with bunked berths, and a head compartment to port.

Tiara says it modified the 3900’s design after testing a concept version last fall.

Nordhavn 43

Two Nordhavn trawlers, the redesigned 40/II and the new 43, will make their Northeast debuts at the Newport International Boat Show in September. The 43 is a new oceangoing design based on the Nordhavn 40 that completed a 24,000-mile voyage around the world in 2002. For comfort, designers placed the owner’s cabin and head amidships, while the guest cabin is forward with the guest head located in the bow, according to Nordhavn.

Luhrs 41 Open

Luhrs will be hitting the fall boat show circuit with a new open sportfishing boat. The 41 Open’s hull has a flared bow, 56 degrees of deadrise at entry, and 18 degrees at the transom.

It has an upper helm station on its welded aluminum tower, and a 100-square-foot cockpit with a 50-gallon live well, bait prep station, and two 45-gallon in-deck fishboxes.

Accommodations below include a convertible dinette/double berth and a forward stateroom with queen-size island berth.

Oyster LD43

The LD43 is a new powerboat from high-end sailing yacht builder Oyster Marine. The British company is offering a new Hamilton jetdrive

propulsion system, equipped with Blue Arrow electronic controls, on the twin-diesel 43-footer. 
The LD43 is built in New Zealand using carbon fiber and Kevlar hull construction for strength and weight savings, according to Oyster.

Grand Banks 44 Heritage EU

Grand Banks recently added a quick new model to its venerable Heritage line of trawlers. The Grand Banks 44 Heritage EU has a two-stateroom, two-head layout and rides a Sparkman & Stephens-designed modified-vee planing hull.

 It is powered by twin diesels from 455 hp to 503 hp each, and Grand Banks says it will offer 567-hp Caterpillar ACERT diesels in the future.
The 44 EU makes its debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct. 27 to 31.
