Fishing-boat rescue caught on camera

The offshore rescue was fairly routine — a fisherman on a disabled boat eight miles from land is towed to safety by rescuers.

The new wrinkle on this drama that played out in the Irish Sea is that the event was captured on video just hours after the rescue team had received new helmet cameras to help with training exercises.

Now the Royal National Lifeboat Institutions out of Ramsey, on the Isle of Man, has shared the footage in hopes it will help the all-volunteer RNLI in its fund-raising efforts.
