Florida cruisers urged to weigh in on anchoring program

In an effort to gauge the success of the Florida Anchoring and Mooring Pilot Program, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is conducting a two-week survey seeking out comment.

Anyone who cruises in Florida is being urged by BoatUS to make their views known by taking the short survey.

The deadline to receive comments is Oct. 7.

BoatUS believes it is important that active, cruising boaters help the state know what works and what doesn't when it comes to anchoring in Florida, the organization said in a statement. Boaters' responses to the survey will help shape the future of the state's anchoring policy.
