Formula Boats confirmed that the new Formula 387 Center Console Fish (CCF) for anglers and the 387 Center Console Sport (CCS) for dayboaters, which were announced at the 2022 Miami International Boat Show in February, will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this fall.
Boasting a 38-foot, 7-inch LOA and a 12-foot beam, the 387s can be powered with a choice of Mercury and Mercury Racing options, from triple Mercury Verado 300s to triple Mercury Racing 450Rs or twin Mercury Verado 600 outboards. Designed by John Adams, the offshore models will use a Fas3Tech hull with a 23-degree deadrise.
The 387s will feature a hardtop with multicolored LED lighting, center ladder and access hatch and a compound curved windshield with power-opening forward glass.
The Center Console Fish will feature custom-designed triple helm seats with folding armrests and electrically adjustable center seat, dual 40-gallon, pressurized live wells aft, port and starboard fish boxes with available freezer plates, and Gemlux outriggers. Aft of the helm, the leaning post will feature an aft-facing mezzanine bench that slides away to reveal a Corian countertop, bait rigging station with removable cutting board and molded sink. The Fish also features a Plano tackle box organizer, pull-out Yeti cooler to port and motorized slide-out cooler with reFlex decking.
At the transom wall, a double-wide flip-down bench offers more seating and port and transom doors allow for easy catch access or water activities. The open bow includes a dual forward-facing sun lounge with center flip-up armrest with drink holders. Bow options are an in-floor fish box or a bow seating package with power adjustable table.
The standard electronics suite includes twin Garmin or Raymarine 16-inch widescreen color MFDs, depth sounder and transducer, Mercury DTS with 7-inch SmartCraft VesselView, Mercury Joystick Piloting and a Bennett trim tab system.
Upgrades include radar and FLIR, Rockford Fosgate stereo with JL Audio speakers, 7 dual USB charging ports and up to 30 drink and rod/drink holders.
Cabin access will be through the portside console door with three Corian steps leading down to woodgrain flooring and 6-foot 4-inch headroom. Features below include an Ultraleather U-shaped lounge with dual-height table and filler cushion, 32-inch LED/LCD HDTV, a galley in open-grain or high-gloss finish cabinetry with Corian countertop, concealed sink with cover, stainless pull-out fridge and microwave, 8,000 BTU AC and two opening portlights.
A molded private head compartment with portlight, pressurized fresh water, vanity with Corian countertop, molded sink, shower and a Vacuflush head complete the package.
For those who prefer a center console dayboat, the 387 Center Console Sport offers the bow seating package and power adjustable table as standard and an aft cockpit with a hinged, double-wide flip-down bench seat facing the leaning post bench, a roomier swim platform, trunk storage, a pullout cockpit fridge, beverage center and pantry storage.
