Frenchman trying for trans-Atlantic record
Frenchman Franck Cammas on board the trimaran Groupama 3 is en route
in his most recent attempt to break the record for trans-Atlantic
crossing. He left the starting line at Ambrose Lighthouse off New York
Wednesday for the 3,000-mile attempt.
Cammas already holds the record time of 4 days, 3 hours, 57 minutes and 54 seconds, from his July 2007 crossing.
